The original plan was to shoot the first sunrise of 2009. In theory, it was fantastic; the powerful symbolism associated with the dawning of a new year. In reality, anything D&M would’ve been smacked down by an even more powerful hangover from New Year’s Eve. So chronologically anyway, the last sunrise of 2008 was a case of close enough is good enough.
Below are two of my photos from the day (thanks Kelvin for the company and advice). My first attempts at HDR hoorah!!
Over the coming weeks, I’m going to be cleaning out some old files, which have been hanging around embarrasingly like Damir Dokic. Most of this work will be pretty ninja so you shouldn’t expect to see any changes. The only exception may be old links to picture files, which may not work anymore. If that’s the case, don’t panic! Have a browse through the blog or shoot me an email at rob@studio-ichiban.com (I should be able to find the new link pretty quickly if you pass me the old one with it).
